Hello everyone,
My name is Chao, I am from mainland China, currently working as a chip designer in Suzhou, which is close to Shanghai. I am a keen language learner, and it has always been exciting for me to meet interesting people from all over the world because learning new stuffs is so fun for me.
I am trying to find a native English speaker who is also keen to learn Chinese, then we could be language exchange partners with half-hour Chinese, and half-hour English. We can arrange for a quick session in voice or video to know each other and figure out how to help each other. My current English level is C1, I really enjoy the feeling of progressing and training my brain with practicing English. So I will keep learning this language for a long time.
I have travelled to Singapore, Maylasia, Switherland, Italy, Belgium and France. Every country is so different. The most interesting thing for me is definitely interacting with people. It's fascinating to learn new perspectives from people of different backgrounds. Of course, the most confusing part for me is how we human have such different taste buds for food. I started to understand why my western friends always say "No, thank you" for some Chinsese food now.
My habits are as follows.
1. Podcasts, I enjoy listening to podcasts very much, especially related to English learning, psychology or just people's life attitudes towards different stuffs. My favorite podcasts are The Huberman Lab by Dr. Huberman, Feel Better, Live More by Dr. Rangan and The Hobbit- An Unexpected Journey.
2. Tennis, I have been playing tennis for a long time. It would be my pleasure to talk about related sports. And last summer I learned how to swim too. Learning new skills is so cool. I still clearly remember that magical moment from drowning to moving forward without drowning thanks to all the practice in advance. Cycling is something I want to try too.
3. Cooking, If you are quite interested in Chinese cooking, probably I can share my advice for doing that, It would be great if I could learn from the way you cook too.
4.Reading, there are four books I have been reading or listening to recently.
Chatter: The Voice in Our Head, Why It Matters, and How to Harness It.
Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity.
The upside of stress.
The joy of movement.
Please message me If you have any interesting books too share.
Thank you so much and looking forward to hearing from you! I am usually free at my night from 9 pm to 11:30 pm. My time zone is GMT+8.

Hi there,
My name is Ting. I am Chinese. I have been living in the Netherlands for more than 10 years. But my Dutch is still basic. My recent goal is to achieve B1. I currently take a Dutch course (A2-B1). I would like to practice listening and speaking with a Dutch speaker.
In addition to Dutch, I also want to improve my German. My German level is between A1 and A2. I practice German with a language buddy on weekly basis. But more practice is also welcomed.
